Rachel Smith (Gabriella Rind) OB”M Rachel was a dedicated and devoted mother here in Ramat Bet Shemesh. Her love for her family and this community were unconditional. One of her many strengths, that stands out the most, was her ability to understand children. She took great pride in not only helping us understand our children, but also giving us tools to help them feel understood. It was so important to her that children feel safe and cared for. Rachel was a role model to us all in how she took such great care of her own children, how she saw to their individual needs and took the time and energy needed to understand each of them to their very core. It is for this reason that it is so befitting that an organization such as Vezakeny be dedicated to this truly exemplary women. The money raised from Vezakeny will go directly to the children of Ramat Bet Shemesh. This special organization provides children in need with clothing, school supplies, therapy and other individual necessities. Rachel, how befitting it is, that even after your passing you will continue to give to the children of Klal Yisroel. Every time a Jewish women lights shabbos candles and puts tzedaka in the Vezakany Tzedaka Box and davens for their children, your beautiful neshama will have an aliyah. As we daven for our children and families during candle lighting we will daven for yours as well.
